Congratulations to Marielle Zoretic on her success at the Evergreen Classic. Marielle was 3rd out of 17 riders in the pony equitation on the flat and 4th in the USEF Pony Medal along with various ribbons in the pony hunter division.

Congratulations to Pine Desert Clients. We may be small but we are mighty!

Marielle Zoretic won many ribbons in the pony hunter division and was the winner of the USEF Pony Medal which qualifies her for the zone finals in Monroe Wa. Marielle and her pony Champaign Super Nova will be attending the finals.

Bravado, owned and riden by Maureen Lewis was Champion Low Adult Jumpers. Bravado was also Champion .85 meters and Res. Champion .90 meters with Kathy Kerron riding.

Aries, owned by Emily Young and riden by Kathy Kerron started in the .85 meters and by the end of the week had moved up to the 1.o5 meter division winning ribbons in several classes. This horse is for sale and is a great investment for an adult or jr rider.

Pine Desert Clients and horses have great success at the Central Oregon Hunter/Jumper show held at J-J boy ranch, July 18th – 20th. Mo Lewis was res champion in the .75 and the .85 jumpers, Kathy was champion baby green hunter riding Elicia Putnam’s mare Sasha and Travis Wren was Champion .85 jumpers and winer of the Jumper Derby held Saturday evening.

Our next show is week 2 of the High Desert Classic. July 28th - Aug 1st. Please come by and meet Kathyand learn more about the training programs and Pine Desert Equestrian.

As of July 1st Kathy will be moving her training operation to Kilkenny Crest located on the east side of Bend. Kilkenny Crest is a beautiful facility that features an 80′ x 168′ indoor arena with top of the line Travel Right waxed sand footing and a heated viewing area. A 175′ x 250′ outdoor arena with all weather footing plus a Grand Prix field to ride on when weather permits. Stalls are 12 x 12 with automatic waterers and fans for the horses comfort. Horses are turned out daily on grass pastures. Hay is feed 4 times a day.

August 1st, 2010 Pine Desert Equestrian welcomes Carley Swisher and her mare Freeda. The pair will be will be training with Kathy and will be attending shows in the 2011 show season.

July 1st, 2010 Pine Desert Equestrian welcomes the Zoretic Family. Marcia, Dan, their daughter Marielle and her pony Champaing Supernova (Cheri). Watch for Marielle and Cheri in the small pony hunter and pony equitation divisions.

April, 2010 Pine Desert Equestrian welcomes Elicia Putnam. Elicia and her mare Sasha will be in training with Kathy. Sasha is a green jumper who shows a lot of promising talent and will be showing in the lower level jumper ring this year to gain her confidence and training that will carry her into the upper levels. Elicia owns an advertising business and is currently commuting between Bend and Portland.

Arena

Having an arena that permits effective training with the least wear and tear on the horse as possible is critical. Safety, size and good footing is of utmost importance. Congratulations to Emily Young on the purchase of “Aries”.

Emily has been a client of Kathy’s for over a year and has recently purchased a young warmblood to bring along in the jumper ring.
